I would be remiss in not pointing out that today marks the 90th birthday of the comic
strip GASOLINE ALLEY! the first comicstrip to actually age the characters. I used to read it all the time growing up..You would do yourself a disservice NOT to
seek out some sample strips on the web. The collected works being put out by Drawn and Quarterly publishing are just a treat, and a great reminder of how good the comics USED to be. The Sunday panels are a thing of beauty!
