HAPPY BIRTHDAY MORRISSEY!

I don't know what it is, maybe the pompadoured hair in your youth...

...the smooth vocal stylings, your looks combined with lyrical genius. The way you spoke to all those unsatisfied, frustrated teens looking for someone that understood their devastating lost loves, crushes, desires...whatever it is, you got it..and I am sending you a virtual Happy Birthday. You are on my Desert Island list, and that is a bigger compliment than any ol' cheezy award on some awards show anyday in my book.
The times I got to see him live in concert were some of the best shows, of course all the flying flowers, glitter gold lame' shirts, drunk crying desperate young men crashing through the crowds to get his attention and touch his hand..all part of the full effect that should be experienced at least once in your life. You feel the crazy love the second the show starts.
Love you.
Music of the day: see above, Jesus and Mary Chain, the Cure (retro 80's day)
food of the day: dining on a monster burrito big as my head with a good friend.
mood of the day: I suspect after the burrito I shall be passing out.. hee hee

Sunday fix?
YA I know, no blogging lately, but honestly I have had nothing much to say. And the comic I'm working on is not for here, sooooo yeah, there's THAT.
I DID however, in a late night weirdness moment of "what am I still doing up?", make a chocolate cake mix I got for a buck the other day at World Market. Why was it a buck? It was leftover from Passover.
Streit's , Kings of Kosher, has cake mixes for the holidays. I, the lapsed catholic gal, always intrigued by Jewish foods and traditions, having grown up the better part of my youth in MY-AM-MEEEEEEE and Ft. Liquordale, have a great understanding of kosher food. However , the full impact of just how bad an after taste has never been fully realized until I tasted one of these critters.
Let's just say, I am STILL tasting the semi-unpleasantness locked in my mouth and throat.
Not that it totally sucked, but I have a better understanding of what matzo flour is capable of and what it is not.
Duncan Hines you have nothing to worry about.
I defy you to not love this song.
Music of the day: The Waterboys, Mumford and Sons, Nick Cave, Lee Scratch Perry.
food of the day: NOT cupcakes
mood of the day: ERP!

Tease me will ya?
Then I tease YOU!
mwahahah... A little tiny taste of something very new.
Where? I shall not say. NO, not yet.

Sorry so gone, but things a brewing and a stewing.
Spring cleaning is so refreshing in so many ways, don't you think?
Not just dust and shelves, but clutters in the mind get swept away
with the dust bunnies and old glitter.
Sometimes people get swept away too. Never maliciously, but, swept
away just the same. Sometimes they blow back in when you open the
door, but, usually I find they blow away for good.
I hate to see good glitter go like that but, meh, what can you do?
music of the day: Radiohead, The Naked and Famous,The Kills.
food of the day: PONY CHOW!
mood of the day: indifference

UMMMM
soooooo unrelenting deadline for something I'm actually getting paid for takes
precedence over something I do for, well, not paid.
So sorry there is no comic today.
maybe later.
(which also means ,yes I have not been blogging at all lately, but believe me
it's for a good reason!)
here...so all is not lost...
me ,a bit lighter..a bit smarter, and a bit more wary.
music of the day: Beastie Boys, Fleet Foxes, Deadmau5
food of the day: dried out chicken breast
mood of the day: whatever
