Hiatus over?

O.K so there's a new CAFE NEUROTIC comic posted at webegirls.
I took an extended hiatus from the strip due to several circumstances, one of which was the good ol: " I ran out of ideas and anything to say".
But encouragement from friends , long winding thoughts , a new pen nib, some new grounds made in dealing with some health issues ( back related)...refreshing myself with months of painting instead of comics, and something NEW to write about ( Hi new relationship dude!), have all merged into the piece of work you can view now.

Now to see if it sticks.

I guess I am on a new journey. With my inner self and with my dude. I couldn't be more excited. ON so many levels too. The cuteness, it hurts. :D

Halloween. I love it. Not dressing up mind you
( though I will probably give it a shot tomorrow night at a clubs annual party, vampires and werewolves theme of course, so fangs will be in place, Thats about the extent of me dressing up.)

Now onto actually trying to write and ink a Cafe Neurotic strip for the web. Since I haven't actually written or done a comic in a few months now, this might be an interesting try, since my funny bone has been replaced with a color -bone lately. But at least I'm giving it the old college try , eh?

My other worldly distraction of late, let's just call him Mr. A for now, has been nothing short of inspiring and supportive of the usually delicate constitution of my tortured, ink- stained fingered soul . New adventures, mind expansion , and meditation all contribute to
a creative output I haven't had in eons. My gratitude and joy at finding such a glowing hunk of joy that he is , is not given lightly. Plus he makes a killer figure and photo model to boot.. (Hubba hubba! Two birds with one stone!)
We have decided we definitely knew each other in another lifetime.
How else to possibly explain the complete comfort and delight in each others company. How else to explain the calm,glowing Buddha smiles emanating from us both. (Well logically I know, but, why not be all goofy and mystical every now and then.)

Off to be brilliant.

I love painting , but man, my eyes are shot for the day. I best start working bigger if
I want to HAVE eyes when I'm old.

Recovering from some more wonderful time spent with my uhh.. I guess 'dude"..I have no
idea these days what to call someone or how to describe a relationship and give it a qualifying name. Best let this one float around for a while...

And speaking of float, time to medicate this ferklupkin bad shoulder and neck thing I got going on as well..I finally figured out it's from the way I sit at my art table when I'm painting, leaning to the left the whole time pushing down on my left butt cheek and numbing out my neck .UG.
Anyway, I need to be more mindful of how I sit and do things if I want to be functioning at all.
