Yes , it's that time of year again. The days are warmer, the flowers are blooming,and the
PEEPS are in season. That means Easter is around the corner,and the Peeps are blowing up
in microwaves around the country.

Monday is now officially a PILL! Took something back to Target where I was
informed I could only have credit back, so now it looks like the bulk of my
grocery shopping for several months and anything else I want has to come from there.
Big fat sigh,as I needed the money to go for something else,but ,my fault so on I trudge.
THEN I FINALLY get into Nordstroms Rack where I discover to my dismay NO
women's sizes, (I.E bigger sexy gals like me). What ,they don't think WE want to save money too?
So I went up to the register where the helpful ladies assured me there that THEY wanted a section for that, but the big wigs didn't think there was a fricking MARKET for it at that location!
WHAT THE EFF!!!!! SERIOUSLY????
SO I filled out a complaint card and seriously implore any other sexy mamas out there to go in and do the same. If enough cards (50!) are filled out , they will listen and do it!

SO yours truly is doing a little 'show' in Oct. ,as I might have mentioned before,and I am going to be creating once again my "WONDER-RAMA GLOWING EYE DOGS". Once in great demand in Atlanta, now you Denverites and surrounding area folk ,can get one for your very own. They might be a tad different but the premise is the same. Prices not yet set..there will also be googlie eyed cats..cuz, well, you can't go wrong with googlie eyed anything.



Snow on the way,again, oh joy, but at least this time it will be slight and not as..icky wet? Maybe?
I'm a bit pooped..(these late night chats with a certain long distance somebody are gonna take it's tole eventually, but I don't care. tee hee..xo)

THursday must be "NO" day!

Sheesh, My day started off nice enough. A fun morning chat with a very special
friend. (No I'm NOT going to tell you anything else more right now!) A good hair day, and
great plans for errands to run. My first mistake was SERIOUSLY underestimating the amount of budget fashion conscious people that would be SWARMING the grand opening of the NORDSTROMS RACK on Colorado Blvd. I mean even getting NEAR the building itself was a task.Parking lot full, cops directing traffic,side streets full of cars parking every which way.As I drove by the entrance to the lot I just waved at the cop and said "Yeah, right!" She laughed and said it had been a nut house since 8 a.m

I don't think I will be getting there in the next few days at least..Oh well,onward.
Laundry done finally, I drove down to one of my little favorite Japanese places to get a lovely light lunch of chicken Katsu. I really like KIKIS for it's cute interior, friendly staff,and not to pricey lunches. Pulling into the parking lot I discover it crammed full of cars, snow everywhere and no place to park. I also discover one big contribution to the jam is a MMJ clinic decided to open up in the strip mall.. AH! THAT'S why all those Cypress Hill looking dudes are running around the parking lot. ( not that all CH dudes are in need of MMJ, I just chose to use them as a stereotypical symbol at this time.)

Giving up there I decide to swing into Ultas down the street to get my most favorite body lotion in the world. They hadn't had it the last few times I was there and...DING, they didn't again.scanning the tag the tell me..NO, it's DISCONTINUED! NOOOOOOOOOOO!
By the GODS!!!! WHYYYYYYYYYYY? Everything I love is discontinued!

Pumping my little fists into the air in anger at KORRES for stopping production on what may be the most sexy smelling body lotion I have ever owned and that garners me multiple compliments
every time I wear it, I stagger out into the sun to at LEAST find a quick lunch, as I am sinking fast.. ( no I can't tell u cuz then YOU will maybe try to find it...oh, all right it's their Vanilla Cinnamon Body Milk and I swear it is to DIE for..and yes people call me cupcake all the time.)

Quick drive by Spicy Thai for a killer fast yummy lunch, I am at least satiated on one front..my tummy.

Home now, found the lotion on-line and yes, I got a few.
And now to draw. Where nothing on my desk is full, discontinued, and all my drawings smell like heavenly vanilla...( o.k I made that part up ,but ..sheeeeeee..)

My favorite tree across the way. Night, Snow plowing in ruff ,wet, and nasty.
But it looks so pretty out to me as well.
Maybe cuz I'm not driving in it, or stuck somewhere I don't necessarily
wanna be.
But then again, someone I care about IS driving in it.
And another friend IS stuck somewhere where they don't really need to
be too long.
So tomorrow I shall have my Monkey Brains Oatmeal, in my little cozy warm apt.

BOOSH!

I FORGOT...

to post anything yesterday. I think my head is a bit fuzzy. I feel better
but something is a tad "off" I went out last night with a friend for
dinner and felt a bit 'off kilter' the whole time.Well ,actually we both were a bit off, him from overworking on multiple projects and me from, well, being sick so long.I was off my game for sure.
So the whole evening had a bit of an
edge to it. No, I take that back...it had a bit of a lackluster to it.it was not for lack of good company though! Try again, I will.

In other news I shall be doing a "show" at Local coffee shop GEEZ LOUISE
in Oct. and have started on my wood cutouts that I am doing...Dogs, cats, bats and who
know what else will be hanging on the walls. So that is keeping me a touch out of trouble and a bit busier. Gotta get a jump on things.

I drove around in the snow storm this morning, wondering why I always get a bug up my butt to go on errands when a storm hits. Dunno? Thrill seeker? Snow watcher?




This is a special friends favorite sea creature so that is why I posted it.

I keep driving by Lovely Confections on Colfax and always thought: "HMM I have to try
them sometimes." After all, I tried most of the cupcake joints in town already,and this one is practically in my own backyard. Plus,Friend Lovely Miss Jane had first hand love of the place so today was the day for my exploration. I was warmly greeted and had a hard time deciding what to get. As today is ST. PATTY'S (me ) day, I was informed that any cupcake with a shamrock on the bottom was free,so I went for it.
I got a chocolate with vanilla butter cream frosting, a vanilla with chocolate ganache like frosting and WEEEEEE!, Wouldn't you know it, a shamrock stickered carrotcake cupcake for free! I never win anything!


Beautifully decorated and not dry I had a nice little nosh at home with the Chocolate one. Not cloyingly sweet, nicely dense and richly flavored. The icing was pretty nice too...and here's my sacrilegious confession: After a few bites I scraped most of the icing off. I KNOW! I KNOW! STOP YELLING AT ME! What can I say but, I'm a "big cake,little frosting" kinda gal. So if you want to get a frosting overload take me with you on yer next cupcake bender and you can have most of my icing. O.K?


I'm pretty stoned on cupcake now..so the other ones will have to wait for me
to recover. Can't wait to see how the carrot cake one is!
So yeah, I'd say that's a good place to get your fix in. Nice hang out joint, free wi-fi, coffee..comphy looking sofas,and a friendly face behind the counter!

Now excuse me, I have to prepare for tonights festivities of watching everyone else
get snackered on green beer.

New Vitamins!

I have been doing really well lately with my eating habits. Until I got that nasty
ass head cold/chest/bronchial cough of death that is. then I stopped eating much
due to lack of taste buds and a effed up system. I seemed to be 'noshing' more than
actual meals. Knowing that wasn't helping me regain my strength and health, plus I don't want to put BACK on the 15 plus pds. I recently lost, I have been
making an effort to get all my daily requirements of vitamins, omegas, yadda yadda into my system. Case in point, this LOVELY
little meal I made last night. Chock full of brain food, vitamins and greens!
I am so proud of myself for creating ,actually ,one of my favorite meals to eat.

GOOD FOR ME RIGHT?
Then I had to go an spoil it all with this little nugget of yum:

Yes. Chocolate cake. I'm pretty sure that it MUST hold some nutritional value.
If only for the happy smile it puts on ones face. NO. I'm pretty sure it
contains special vitamins. Vitamins not yet discovered by modern science and the FDA.
I hear by decree it to contain the special Vitamin H. Vitamin H stands for "HELL YEAH, CAKE!", and HAPPY FACE.

1976 was a year of importance to me.
Music started meaning more to me. Bands became
intriguing,fun,rough. Punk had infiltrating the
airwaves. Along with The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Iggy,and a myriad of others,
there was Patti.
She stood out alone to me in a sea of crotch rock.
She gave me a message. I think the first time I actually
saw her perform was on Saturday Night Live. I was transfixed.
High school was real drag, she helped me start to see
things a bit more clearly, to open up. I knew I wanted to be an artist, musician,
create something,anything.
I saw the possibility.

(I still have and treasure my single of Hey Joe/Piss Factory.And NO you can't buy it off of me.)

Whenever I feel a bit "clogged" or "frozen".
Popping a bit of Patti on always gives a much needed
amazonian boost to what ails me.

HELLOO DOKTAHHHHH!

This is obviously a Hello Kitty mini-travel bottle.
What's NOT so obvious is what's inside
the bottle.
THAT my dears is about
10 bucks worth of Codeine laced cough syrup.
I took this with me to the club last week,where I commenced to
cough my brains out in the parking lot, so down the hatch half of it went.
I have about one more teaspoon full left in the big bottle, and some of the
OTHER cough stuff the Dr. gave me. The icky cherry flavored crud that reminds me
of all the medicines my mom fed me when I was but a 'yoot'.
The stuff that now makes me HATE ANYTHING flavored cherry.
( except cherry Tootsie-
pops and cherry lifesavers.)

But I digress. I think I was planning on bitching about certain medicines being so fricking expensive ,when at one time, this cough syrup was super cheap,and available over the counter. I think you can still get it
in some states. ( Anyone going to Nebraska?) And super cheap in Europe.( As a French patriot informed me it is about 2.5 euros over there.). Anyway, 66 bucks for the first bottle I got stopped me from
refilling the script,and asking the Dr. for something different and cheaper.

Thank Buddha I'm not dying of something.

It's a cold thing!

Symptoms of walking pneumonia:
Although walking pneumonia does not show noticeable symptoms in the initial stage, as time passes by, the patient may experience following symptoms:

* Lethargy (sudden decline in energy level)
* Cold (the severity of cold increases with time as the disease reaches patient’s chest, this differentiates walking pneumonia from common cold)
* Sudden chills
* Patient may experience mild to severe headache accompanied by fever and also throat problems complaints (such as rashes in throat)
* Annoying runny nose problem
* Pain in abdominal area, ears, eye, muscles and chest
* Patient may experience sore throat because of ongoing cough condition
* Sometimes patient may experience shallow and rapid breathing due to fatigue

Prominent symptoms of walking pneumonia take almost 1 to 3 weeks to surface (this period is also known as incubation period); it starts with loss in energy level and patient feels exhausted. Before this period, the disease does not show any significant symptoms.


O.K I don't THINK I have those EXACT symptoms..but..hmm....
I'm always lethargic. HA HA.
And I don't have a fever right now. Unless Peggy Lee is singing in my ear.
Plus mom always said I was a snotty little
girl, so THAT one is out.
My ears feel clogged up, but not exactly pained.(Again, unless Peggy Lee is warbling into them.)
Throat hurts ,hmmmm not really it's just tweaked a bit from all the gunk and coughing I do to get RID of the gunk in my chest...
