Oh Joy!

Through my concert going years there has been occasions when I blew off ,or skipped a certain show, only to find later it was their last live show,(NIN) or one of the members dies soon after, ( u pick ,there's been a ton), or the band breaks up.
Then the regrets settle in that I missed them. Now I have a chance to see someone I skipped ,oh let's say wayyyyyyyyyyyy back in the Patty Time Machine.
Gary Numan, will be here in Oct. performing the complete Pleasure Principle.
I have no excuse. I have started saving my pennies now.
I suggest you do the same.



I been slamming with art schtuff, job hunt schtuff, and dealing with
the dreaded heat, so bloggin' da bloggity blog schtuff has been low on my
priorities.
When my brain kicks in to gear again....well, you know.........

..Poor little Waspy. Unrequited love is the worse,isn't it?
Still he persisted all night long. Doing his dance of love
around the glowing, callous Helical 26w bulb.
I listed to his pained mating buzz dance go on endlessly.
All my efforts to show him the error of his ways went
ignored. Listening to his plaintive pleas for affection
became painful to me,until I was compelled to take
matters into my own hands.
A firm lecture and a hesitant squirt of Raid hopefully
showed him the error of his ways. I listened to his
fading bzzzzzzzzzz deep into the night.

This morning, there he was, now still, curled around
the object of his affection,and his doom.

They never learn ,do they?

they want to be called yet.

Many more dogs and kitties to be created yet.
There will be only 5 total of the barking big
dogs so if yo are interested,let me know

I'm thinking 75 bucks for the big 'uns .
They all have glow in the dark eyes and
teefs. The colors are black light
fluorescent fun. So I guess you could call
these bad boys "interactive fun".

Sushi Festivities!

So , Sunday is my birthday. A bit conflicted over this one,since it's
a BIG one. And seems to be serving as
a deep reminder of all the things I haven't accomplished yet in my life.
I could let it serve as a reminder to
all the things I have accomplished and let it go at that, but I tend to get a bit reflective and wallow in "shoulda ,woulda' coulda's".

Until I snap out of it an enjoy something so wonderful as a serving of delightful sushi that is. And then I remember all the great things in my life.
Yeah I have been unemployed for a while, but I did pick up some killer opportunities lately, (including a swell book illustration job, and an cool web-comic gig.) and while I was laid pretty low by a then perceived devastating relationship breakup
a few years back, I seem to be in an interesting ,evolving, crazy fun as hell "thing" right now that makes everything else pale in comparison on a lot of levels.
I'm enjoying the ride, that's for sure. Can't wait to see where it goes. IF it's anything like I imagine, I'll send you a post card from Europe in a few years. (It's a Q- world to be sure.)

I've also made some pretty interesting friends thru my years,and some spiffy new ones here in Denver. For that I'm thankful. ( special shout out to Kyle pal extraordinaire)

Birthdays serve many purposes , reflections on the years past, visualizing the future...and cupcakes....
we can't forget the cupcakes can we?

I'll eat one for you Sunday.

Today is get stuff done day/acupuncture day,with a dose of
final visit with my chiro Tim, before he moves on to cooler
pastures. He will be missed. Now the annoying process begins to find
a replacement that meets the criteria I have.
( insert sad face here.) Namely ,cutting me a deal,be close by and
actually be able to get my little necky neck back in gear every time.
I'll keep ya posted. hee hee


Also a monumental day yesterday as I packed up a whole shelf of PEZ and
stowed it away in a box...either to be sold or..shudder..just go away.
It MUST be the start of a new world order over here. Either that, or the ground
will open up and swallow me whole.

Pretty much everything there is for sale.Except a Jack in the box one and the missing tooth skull head on the
second shelf down,and the headless ones from Japan..unless you sweeten the offer..HAHA
Oh ,and the hand made PJ one a fan made me years ago.
It did feel good to clean off all these lil' dust catchin' bastids though.

C'mon weekend!

It can't come fast enough, for OH so many reasons. But a big one is, I get
to spend time with someone so intriguing to me that I can hardly stand it.
Thas' all I gots ta say on THAT .

I also get to unwind, and COOL DOWN with a cool front headed this way.
It will be a relief after this past weeks fiasco of bad weather, explosions at
electrical sub-stations, and just bad ju-ju all around for some of my friends.

So I'm sitting here, having my mid-afternoon snack and thinking about how much a
creature of habit I am. Green Jasmin Tea and either some raisins and sumflower seeds or a Blueberry Monkey Bar
I got hooked on these after I got hooked on the oatmeal.
Hey you know me an monkeys! we got a thing going on.

I will always be true to food that doesn't make me goofy. And these don't
( King soopers will have them on sale next week so get yer buns over there!)
I went grocery shopping and bought the same things I usually buy. I wonder if the ground would open up if I deviated
at all? Bwahahaha



It's a cute monkey on the package! That means it's GOOD!!!

Yesterday..

..was not my favorite day , by far, besides the oppressive heat, The early evening
explosion I heard ,then subsequent blackout, nearly did me in.( read it here I'm too tired to tell)
My windows face the wrong way for a breeze,so the heatbox that was once my apartment sent me out into the melee that was unfolding a block away from me.
Besides that , the hospital right up the street from me was evacuating some
people so a constant stream of ambulances were whizzing right by my window.
Had to find a phone ,cuz mine was dead, and I was expecting a call from my sister to let me know when to pick them up from the airport from Italy.

I escaped to my Moms place,where I cranked up the A.C and waited, and waited, and waited until her very, very, very, VERY, late flight finally arrived, at 1:30 a.m.
I'm surprised that I haven't passed out yet today from the lack of sleep.
At least the temp. has dropped considerably.

I feel too grumpy still to deal.
I'm going to bed!

Summer already?

UG. I'm not sure how well I'm going to do with this one, but it got off
to a sad start last night. Up most of the night in sweat mode.
I COULD have broken down and turned on the a.c. But that would be
telling the power company that I will pay their extortion fees this
summer. Sure, maybe I can keep my kilo watt hrs. down to 500, but at what
cost. FUG IT. I'm going to live in my bedroom all summer. That's where the
only a.c unit is in my apt.
And I will eat all the Popsicles I can find.
MWAHAHAHAHA!!

ahem, excuse that outburst. I'm not quite right in the head this morning.
(I'm also lusting after someone with a red hot passion so maybe THAT is
what is burning me up this summer.)

Jibber Jabber

So the other night I watched Alice in Wonderland with my pal Kyle on our "Taco Wednesday".
Visually stunning, computer graphics great..but the storyline..umm, yeahhhhh.
Nothing to do with the original Carrol story, but inspired by.
Well the drawing of the Jabberwocky drawing was sort of represented,but they took the vest off.
Anyway,where was I, I'm rambling now.But the movie DID have Johnny Depp at his
weirdest, and Crispen Glover (computer generated elongated) at his lovely evil-weirdest,so that was cool.

Anyway I see that I let a whole week go with nothing to say.
It must be the heat, or I am letting something or someone, distract me enough to
not pay attention to the days flying by. Or to at least not care about it.. hee hee


Hot this weekend, my evil ,nefarious plan is to stay sequestered and work on some art
projects, and bombard more places with my resume.
My apparently " You're too qualified for this job/ You're not qualified enough for this job!", resume. Yeah, I have been told that enough times, but, honestly how qualified DO you have to be to see if they want fries with that.. HA HA..I'm KIDDING!
Sheesh, I think I could die if I ended up at another McJob. That or I will have to have you kill me.
