When does every store I go to or call all of a sudden
run out of FIREWIRES? It's an insidious plot...bent on my
undoing and frustration.
BA! Wasted a morning when I could have been out doing my
laundry....oh wait, maybe it was a good distraction.
After all, I still have underwear left. I can go a few
more days with out doing laundry.

Overcast Saturday

not quite sold on this one but....I'm letting it slide for now...

What a fun day! I got my latest MIGHTY LEAF Tea samples in and they are,WOOT!, my faves... LOOSE GREEN TEAS!!
YEAH! Finally...the first one is Organic Lu An Gua Pian from the Anhui province of China. Wow is this one rich and has a long history
going back to the TANG dynasty ( No silly, NOT the orange breakfast drink of the
astronauts)Very,very smooth and mellow, touch of sweet..I'm digging this one ALOT!
Remember that goofy comic I did about teas a while back...I thought of that
while I was brewing this one..

I also got a sample of Organic Earl Green, sencha leaves with a touch of citrusy bergamot.
Not sampled yet, but if the way it smells is any indication I know I'm gonna dig on this one too!
I like loose teas, I get to play with my tea stuff , make my own bags,( the leaves are long, it's like making a tea joint...lol) and have a little tea party in my head...zone out for a while and umm...dream of Jet Li...

O.K, now how many out there think it's a GOOD idea to start a renewed friendship
with old paramours? I mean how MANY phone calls can one deal with before
you cave in and agree to go out again? So yes, I DID cave, and we went out
again...and it all came rushing back to me..the excitement, the attention, the
lavish gifts. But the downside is..yes the crowds everywhere we go, the
flashbulbs going off in my face.The backdoor exits,trying to evade the press.
Yeah George IS a real laugh and a 'hunka handsome". But a gal has to draw the
line somewhere, right?
(Besides...my head always looks so...so BIG next to his little spazzy one.)
So George, no hard feelings, let's keep it casual and friendly.

Stoned on Fumes

EERK! So my neighbour moved yesterday...today, they are
redoing the floors and the fumes have wafted upstairs to
my pad...Ummmmm...maybe a fair warning guys so I could
have made plans to EVACUATE today! As it is
I feel toxic already from the Hives, bad eating, allergies
etc....I feel a big DETOX coming on...much needed.
There's humor in there somewhere....I'm sure...

Ya I know it's early..but TARGET doesn't think so..They have all the crap out
already and I must say..I LOVE this years store decorations...very graphic with a hint
of nostalgia to them...trying to figure out how to score one of them after the
holiday..but I have no reason to have one and no where to keep it in my pad.
So scratch that! speaking of..............

Nothing better than itching yourself to death I say.
Did you know that CALAMINE lotion is now sold in a
clear gel form? I was so torn. Do I get that bottle,
and no one can tell I am using it..or do I get the
PINK bottle and walk around with that oh -so -familiar
childhood calamine lotion smell and the PINK
cotton ball sized dots all over my skin..looking like
a giraffe. Common sense won over nostalgia this time...
But, oh , was it tempting...

I have ACUTE URTICARIA with DERMATOGRAPHISM....on other words
some thing or someone made me very very hivey and itchy..
WHAT did I eat? What did I do, wash with sit on that did
this too me...I look like a wasteland of Pygmy mosquito bites.
A terrain of hilly bumps....
The itching of a junkie, looking for their next Benadryl and steroid
fix...............you get the picture...

o.k this strip is the final to the series I did MONTHS ago about
Ant getting stuck in her Godzilla Halloween costume.

Spending the day,feeling a bit off. I totally
forgot about the time change. Usually I'm obsessive about that kinda
crap, so I MUST be some kinda sick.

Thursday tweaking

Ahhh..The mainstay of the American Breakfast table.
I don't think any other country obsesses so much over
the morning meal. OR has so many 'products' dedicated to it.
These days I tend to stick to the 'grown-up" cereals, the colon
cleansers, the anti-oxidant, every vitamin under the sun -cereals.
But every now and then I HAVE to get a nice box of Capn' Crunch, or
Smacks ( when I was a kid it was SUGAR SMACKS! tee hee), or Honey comb
They all taste a bit different now though..with all this added
"Whole grain goodness" in every frickin box, and reduced sugar...
But HOKEY SMOKES ...Hardly ANY of them have a "FREE INSIDE"
goin' on!!

Sigh....I'm going now...to reflect on childhood memories...
and pick Froot loops out of my teeth...

BONUS COMIC DAY!

WOOT!
Seemed timely and all, since Rocky Mtn News bit the big one
on Friday. YA, the Post is just o.k. Didn't seem to have much
"news" in it..I didn't dig the layout,and the comics!
Well DON'T get me started...O.K I'm started.
LAYOUT fellas!! Give me a call I'll help ya out!
PLUS the size of the paper makes it, once again,
necessary to SHRINK
the comics down AGAIN. The old sizes get all wonky, which means
PEANUTS now looks like it went thru a pasta maker. Non Sequiter
now is too small to read some days. And ZIPPY lost it's ZIP,
Cul De Sac is harder to appreciate the delicate line work,and....
aaahhhh Fudge it...
No one listens anyway when we kvetch about the comics.
I will be timing it when the Post says it's gonna cut some
comics to save money...my challenge to them.
Be one of the papers left out there that really KNOWS that
the funny pages are a BIG draw to subscribers.
