Doggie #1 iz done! Well, except for the glaze,but it's too chilly to
do that today. But here it is. The Wonderama-glowing eye-wacky-dog.

Now there WILL be a limited number of these produced, so if you have a hankering
for one,or a kitty, let me know NOW and I will save you one.
The show is in OCT, so you wouldn't actually get the art until the show closes.
I'm also making some cool BATS. I think I will have only 3 or 4 of those..but their
beady lil' eyes an teefs shall glow as well.


Oy, what a day, I figured out what it is with my new glasses. I'm seeing TOO well now for one thing. As I walked down the aisles of Michaels Arts and Crafts for my glitterpens, I had trouble 'seeing' stuff. It was ALL so sharp to me my brain started to fight itself or something. I felt a bit vertigo hit me, and I had to stop and only look at stuff that was right in front of me."
Walking is still a chore too, the ground curves up on the sides and i get all"squishy feeling. Typing on my keyboard is wack-o too. if I don't have my head in the exact right position, it gets all wonky curvy.
ARGGGGGG.

What a RUSH!

Got my first two dog cut-outs delivered for my upcoming show at Geez Louise in Oct.
Never too soon to start for sure. This one WILL take some time to get going ,as
I had to bribe a friend to do the cut outs for me, on his free time,so I had to
factor in that as well. But I will say this.
As soon as I got those pups in my hand and the paint brush going, I felt so good
about things. All I need is to get crafty every day and things look up!
Well that and some good conversations and snax.

You gotta have snax!

Weekend of minor debauchery.(very)
Supplemented by two unintentional consecutive nights of Chinese food, some
industrial /goth club music one night,creative meetup for drawing and
chatting another, mixed in with a tiny bit of family /friends time,made for
a low key, well rounded two days.
Now if only George Clooney had stopped calling me all weekend it would have
been perfect.

Honestly, this time he got a whole gaggle of his pals to start
bombarding me with calls, telling me how cool he was, how he has changed his ways
and to PLEASE give him another chance.
He was not the same man without me by his side,yadda yadda...
I almost went for it, but then that little snake Ben Affleck started chatting me up
and trying to get me to meet him instead!
I asked him how he thought George would feel about him going behind his back AND his wifes reaction to his doing such a sneaky thing. he told me he was willing to risk all
cause he had heard so much about me from George he was smitten, and could NOT stop thinking about me.
"OH GREAT!" ,I'm thinking, "Now I got George, Eric Stoltz, and now BEN after me!"

I ask you, what's a sexy gal like me to do, eh?
But I will secretly tell you, my heart will always belong to the G man.

I think it's a lot more fun than an ice cream truck anyway.

My Series Seven Windsor Newton Kolinski Sable number 2 brush!

house was having a DEEP discount sale on the brushes. Though not as consistent in quality as they once were, they are still the best brush for inking in MY book!



I am replacing the proud ,but tired warrior I have had for ,oh, more than 15 years.
but the rub is...THAT one was replacing one....


in this photo....that was more than, well let's say I have had it since I was
17. I still have it. In fact ALL the brushes in this photo ,save the newish capped one,

are 30 plus years old.
Can't seem to bring myself to throw out the retired warriors.
They have served me well. Obvious by the worn down hair, misshapen figures,ink stains.
But I never like to throw out or forget something that has brought me so
much joy ,inspiration, and freedom. Like my friends and lovers.
I like to keep them around.

I got nuttin'...

...but to show I HAVE been productive, here are my inky fingers,
fresh off the comic inkin' merry-go-round.
I am a messy inker. I don't mess on the boards too much at all,but I have a knack for getting coated in the stuff on my
fingers, arms, elbows, face, and on one memorable messy occasion, my hair.

Today was finger day. I was royally frustrated cuz' the Canson bristol I use
has been steadily declining in quality,so I kept hitting pockets of
"bleed". ( You artists out there know of what I speak.)
I can't find a decent bristol out there to save my life,that doesn't cost a small fortune!
( no the 4 and 3 ply Strathmore suck ass too now...)

I have a very, very small stock of OLD paper, bristol from my art school days.
( Ya, that's old) Maybe it will be a bit yellowed ,but usable. I'm digging into it
tomorrow. This sucks ass.

I also found a supply of Arches thick- thick watercolor sheets. The sheets that
cost ,like 25 bucks each kinda sheets.
So nerve wracking to even use them..but I may end up doing so.
fuck it.

See, cats ARE evolving far faster than dogs.
It's only a matter of time until those opposable
thumbs appear and they can open the tins of tuna
by themselves. Soon enough they won't even need us to
change the litter box, or dangle string in front

of time. Are YOU sure YOU aren't on any kitties
hit list? He looks pretty capable of handling a piece.

Well it was a noble effort. I don't need to be eating crap like that anyway.
Sorry Peeps company it's a FAIL.

Spring is here. I'm sure of it. I trekked out to Target for some "souplies" including
my desperate attempt to stay my cough and watery eyes,loaded up on allergy pills.
They worked for sure. I did not cough my guts out much today, but I DID barely manage
to keep my eyes open for the better part of the day before crashing at 5 for a cat nap.
I hate taking allergy stuff, but this is getting silly.


I have no jokes for April Fools day. But I do have a giddy feeling in the pit of my stomach that
will most likely stay with me until Sunday.
Nuff said.
